WE LOVE A CUP OF COFFEE….
and meeting new people
Were is LUMO based and why? The history of Strijp-S is closely intertwined with the growth of electronics giant Philips. The area formerly known as the Forbidden City has been given back to the city of Eindhoven after Philips’s departure. Hereby, Eindhoven gained a unique area of 270,000 square meters with huge potential. Strijp-S lies inside the ring road: close enough to the centre to connect with the city, but sufficiently isolated to retain its own identity and to stick to its own development. The first ideas for redeveloping the area came up in 2000, when Philips left the City of Light. The buildings that were still in use by Philips were hired back and the redevelopment of Strijp-S became a very serious plan and made it possible for former industrial area Strijp-S to flourish again.
Remember this when you visit us at Strijp-S for a cup of coffee and feel the positive vibe.
