After his studies at the Technical University of Eindhoven and Open University in Heerlen, Harry started off his career as technology driven software developer for the energy sector in the Netherlands. After 15 years of product development and various leading roles in the Dutch software industry, he started his own software company Spirit IT that focuses on real-time data acquisition systems and innovative big data analysis for the energy sector. From its startup in 2001, the company grew into an international company with 50+ staff with R&D & sales offices in Eindhoven, Houston, and Kuala Lumpur.
In 2009, Spirit IT became strategic partner to various large energy companies including Chevron, Shell, Saudi Aramco and Petronas, the national player in Malaysia. Focused on development & deployment of national-wide measurement software solutions, the company became a technology leader in the oil & gas industry. Harry, being the CEO and owner, led the strategic acquisition of Spirit IT by ABB in 2014 for which he remained a senior executive until 2017.

He joined a research group at the Eindhoven University of Technology where he performed research for KPMG Consulting, Philips Electronics, and Cap Gemini, and in parallel started his first Internet venture. He was Chief Commercial Officer at an innovative corporate venture of Eneco, sold successfully, and co-founded iOpener Media, which received USD 6 million VC funding. In his role as CEO, Andy focused on the strategy, business development, and strategic partnerships, alongside the general management of the company, and investor relations. Andy co-founded O&B Ventures B.V. where he advices and supports SMEs, in both the games as well as high-tech industries. Andy started his career as a management consultant and project manager at PwC, and gained extensive experience in the telecom, media, IT (software & hardware), automotive as well as other high-tech industries. Andy holds a degree in Information Management from the Hogeschool Maastricht, Netherlands, and successfully completed the Master Class Technology, Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands.Read more
